RRB Group D Eligibility
Candidates who wish to apply for the RRB Group D test must meet specific requirements in order to be qualified to take the exam.

RRB Group D Nationality
A candidate is only eligible to take the RRB Group D test if he or she is:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962.
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate from category (2), (3), (4), or (5) presents to the recruiting authority a certificate of eligibility provided by the Government of India.
RRB Group D Age Limit
The Railway Recruitment Board has set the RRB Group D Lower Age limit to 18 years and that of RRB Group D maximum age limit is 33 years. Any candidates beyond the age limit extremes as prescribed by the Railway Board will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
The RRB Group D age limit for applicants in the RRB Group D 2023 test is to be calculated from July 1, 2021, as specified in the notice.
Candidates taking the RRB Group D 2023 test must have a birthday between July 1 and 2019.
Note*: Candidates must provide their date of birth in the application form exactly as it appears on their Matriculation/Class 10th certificate or an equivalent certificate, since no future requests to change their date of birth will be considered.

- If a candidate is qualified for age relaxation on more than one basis, he will be granted the highest of the restrictions for which he is eligible (not cumulatively).

- PwBD applicants applying for UR positions will be granted age relaxation applicable solely to UR PwBD.
RRB Group D Education Qualification
The Railway Recruitment Board establishes the minimum qualifications required for candidates to take the RRB Group D test.
The board requires candidates to have a minimum education qualification of 10th pass (OR) ITI from institutions recognized by NCVT/SCVT (or equivalent) National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) awarded by NCVT in order to be eligible for the RRB Group D examination.

The RRB Group D 2023 online application window is currently closed due to a lack of notice.

The RRB Group D computer-based exam lasts 1 and a half hours and consists of 100 questions. The RRB Group D test has a negative marking methodology. Candidates will lose one-third of their marks for each incorrect attempt.
RRB Group D PET Exam Pattern
Candidates are summoned for the PET test, the next step of the RRB Group D selection process, after successfully passing the CBT exam, i.e., achieving the minimum qualifying marks stipulated by the board.
