RRB Group D Eligibility

RRB Group D Nationality

A candidate is only eligible to take the RRB Group D test if he or she is:

  1. A citizen of India, or
  2. A subject of Nepal, or
  3. A subject of Bhutan, or
  4. A Tibetan refugee permanently settled in India from and before January 1, 1962.
  5. A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zaire, Zambia, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate from category (2), (3), (4), or (5) presents to the recruiting authority a certificate of eligibility provided by the Government of India.

RRB Group D Age Limit

The Railway Recruitment Board has set the RRB Group D Lower Age limit to 18 years and that of RRB Group D maximum age limit is 33 years. Any candidates beyond the age limit extremes as prescribed by the Railway Board will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

The RRB Group D age limit for applicants in the RRB Group D 2023 test is to be calculated from July 1, 2021, as specified in the notice.

Candidates taking the RRB Group D 2023 test must have a birthday between July 1 and 2019.

The RRB Group D computer-based exam lasts 1 and a half hours and consists of 100 questions. The RRB Group D test has a negative marking methodology. Candidates will lose one-third of their marks for each incorrect attempt.
