Age Limit (as on 01/04/2026)
RBI has defined minimum age criteria for appearing in the RBI Officer (Grade ‘B’) examination. Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30, i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2 April 1996, and not later than 01 April 2005, to apply for RBI Grade B Exam 2026. The upper age limit for candidates possessing M.Phil. and PhD qualifications will be 32 and 34 years, respectively.

- Which degree is best for RBI Grade B?
A graduation degree in any discipline or a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance and Econometrics is desirable.- Are final-year students eligible to apply for RBI Grade B Recruitment?
No, candidates in their final year of graduation are not eligible to apply for the RBI Grade B exam. The results of the final semester/term/year must be officially declared on or before the date of notification.

The Pay Scale for the RBI Grade B Officer is Rs. 78450-4050(9)-114900-EB 4050(2)-123000-4650(4)- 141600 (16years). Apart from the Basic Pay, multiple emoluments such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Conveyance Allowance etc. will also be provided.
