The tense of a verb tells us about the time of an action. Has the action taken place in\u00a0the past? Has it taken place in the present? Or will it take place in the future? There are three tenses &#8211; Past,\u00a0Present, Future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the state of the action each tense is sub-divided into 4 forms, Indefinite (simple), continuous,\u00a0perfect and perfect continuous. If the action is being continued, the continuous form is used. If the action is\u00a0completed, the perfect form is used.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">PRESENT TENSE<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1. SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE (Present indefinite)<\/span><br \/>\nThe simple present tense is used to express habits<br \/>\nand properties<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Examples:<\/span><br \/>\n1. I rise early daily<br \/>\n2. She writes with her left hand<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE:<\/span><br \/>\nThe present continuous tense is used for an action<br \/>\ncontinued at the time of speaking.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Examples :<\/span><br \/>\n1. I am writing a letter.<br \/>\n2. They are learning English.<br \/>\n\u201cBe\u201d form + \u201cING\u201d form<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3. PRESENT PERFECT TENSE :<\/span><br \/>\nThe present perfect tense is used for an action just\u00a0completed .<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Examples :<\/span><br \/>\n1. The train has left just now<br \/>\n2. We have done our home work<br \/>\n(\u2018have\u2019 form +past participle )<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4. PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE:<\/span><br \/>\nThe present perfect continuous tense is used for an\u00a0action begun in the past and continued up to the\u00a0present moment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Examples :<\/span><br \/>\n1. She has been singing since 6 pm<br \/>\n2.
