PAST PERFECT TENSE:<\/span><br \/>\nThe past perfect tense is used for an action completed<br \/>\nby a certain point in the past.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Example :<\/span><br \/>\nI had passed M.A before 1977<br \/>\n( \u2018have\u2019 form + past participle )<br \/>\nThe past perfect tense is used for the first of 2 past<br \/>\nactions.<br \/>\nThe train had gone before I reached the platform.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4. PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE:<\/span><br \/>\nThe past perfect continuous tense is used for an<br \/>\naction continued up to some point in the past.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Examples :<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1.<\/span> A.K. Khan, a freedom fighter , passed away<br \/>\nyesterday.
