i. Every year April 24 is being observed as National Panchayati Raj Diwas across India. <\/span>
\nii. This day marks the passing of the Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act, 1992 that came into force with effect from 24 April 1993.<\/span>
\niii. The Kuther Gram Panchayat of Himachal Pradesh will get the award for its best works. This Gram Panchayat was the first to become open defecation free (ODF).<\/span><\/p>\n

Sagar Baheti, the first visually impaired Indian runner to complete Boston Marathon<\/span><\/p>\n

\ni. Bangalore-based Sagar Baheti has become the first visually impaired Indian runner to complete the historic Boston Marathon, the world’s oldest and the hardest marathon to qualify for.<\/span>
\nii. Baheti completed the approximately 42.16 km distance in just over four hours.<\/span><\/p>\n
