SSC JE 2026 Application Fee
Candidates applying for the SSC JE 2026 examination are required to pay the prescribed application fee while submitting the online form. The application fee for eligible candidates is ₹100.

SSC JE 2026 Selection Process
The SSC JE 2026 selection process consists of two computer-based examinations followed by Document Verification (DV). Candidates must qualify for the respective stages as per the cut-offs and other conditions prescribed by SSC.

Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 contain objective-type, multiple-choice questions. Candidates have to attempt the General Engineering section (Civil & Structural, Electrical or Mechanical) corresponding to the engineering discipline selected by them and their educational qualification.
Final selection is made based on the candidates’ performance in the examination and their merit, preferences and applicable eligibility conditions.
SSC JE 2026 Exam Pattern
The SSC JE 2026 examination will be conducted in two papers. Paper 1 carries 200 marks, while Paper 2 carries 300 marks. Both papers are conducted in Computer-Based Examination (CBT) mode.
There is negative marking in both papers. In Paper 1, 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer, while in Paper 2, 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
